divorce and pregnancy in Tennessee?

I have a friend that has been separated (not legally) from his wife for about a year and a half. Now that he is almost financially able to get a divorce and his "wife" is pregnant. The child is not his. (He has not been with her, and he has been "fixed"). They have no children between them, and nothing to separate. What will happen when he tries to file for divorce? I know they will make him wait, but will they also make him pay child support and pay for the paternity test?

What is standard Out of state custody for Alabama?

I can’t seem to find a direct answer to this question anywhere on the web. I’m in the middle of a divorce which is mutual and non-contested. We have a child together and we are splitting custody. I was wondering what the standard out of state custody was in the state of Alabama in case one of us has to relocate. I can’t meet with my attorney for 2 weeks and the answer is bothering me. Please help!

Divorce Decree THEN Custody matters?

Is it possible to have the courts go ahead with temporary custody orders and get the divorce decree completed THEN set up a hearing for custody issues?
I am in the state of Arizona
I am fighting for sole custody due to abuse towards our child and myself, as well as his history with his child from a previous marriage.
My reasoning for wanting it this way is because of a law enforcement job opportunity where my debts must be handled. This job is a fresh start for my child and I and I really need our debts divided and the divorce decree final.

Please tell me is this possible, and will it hurt my chances for sole custody?
Maybe my ‘fresh start’ reference was taken wrong… he is a deadbeat that never holds a job and in the past I have had to go a month without electricity while I was working and he was not because he was throwing all the money away on beer.

If I thought there was another good way to support my child I would find it. This has nothing to do with seperating myself from him to start anew, it has to do with making sure my child is provided for.

Why would someone want to fight a divorce?

It’s sorta pathetic IMO when the man wants a divorce, yet the wife doesn’t want to let go and contests it. Let him move on with his life. Why would she want to stay with someone who doesn’t want to be with her, esp. if cheating happens. The husband will often just let the wife have her way and call back once the divorce because he doesn’t want to go through all the legal time and money it takes to fight on and on. Does she think he’s going to be happy? I know a man going through this; he wanted a divorce because he and his wife were always fighting and he just wasn’t happy with her anymore. They were almost through the divorce when she decides she doesn’t want divorced, she can’t go without him. He begrudgingly takes her back, but still appears so unhappy, and they’re going through the same problems. Do you think ppl who divorce or almost divorce can ever be happy again together? No, I’m not the other woman! I’m a friend.

17yr old petitioning for custody change?

I am 17yrs old and living in Alaska. I currently have a schedule of joint custody (1 week w/mom 1 with dad) and i have been doing this system for 9 months. The problem is i want to live with my mom full time and my dad is lording not pay car insurance payments anymore (which WAS part of the divorce agreement that he would do) if i do not listen to him and stop asking to live with my mom full time. Also my mom and i can not afford to take him to court and contest this breaking of the agreement. what should i do?
